Points

Base points (for choosing the winning team)

First round: 1 point

2nd round (league pennants): 2 points

3rd round (World Series): 3 points

Bonus points (for accurate prediction of number of games)

Bonus points are awarded for accurately predicting the number of games (but only if you predict the winner correctly)

First round: bonus_points=2 - ABS(Actual_Number_of_Games - Predicted_Number_Of_Games)

2nd and 3rd rounds: bonus_points=3 - ABS(Actual_Number_of_Games -Predicted_Number_Of_Games)

Example:

For a 2nd round series of Yankees vs Athletics, you choose Yankees in 7. If the Yankees win in 5, you recieve bonus_points=3 -ABS(5-7)=3-2 = 1 (thus, you would get 3 points for this series)

2x or nothing (for getting it just right!)

In each of the four 1st round series, you can optionally choose the 2x or nothing option.

If you chose this option (by clicking on the checkbox), and you ...

correctly choose the series winner and perfectly pick the number of games:	you get 6 points (for that series)
get either wrong:	you get 0 points (for that series)!

Examples:

• First round series: you choose Detroit in 4 games, and Detroit loses. You recieve 0 points.
• First round series: you choose NYM in 3 games, and NYM wins in 5. You recieve (1+(2-ABS(3-5)) 1 points.
• First round series: you choose NYY in 4 games, and NYY wins in 4. You recieve (1+(2-ABS(4-4)) 3 points.
• First round series: you choose NYY in 4 games, and NYY wins in 3. You also click clicked the 2x or nothing checkbox. You recieve 0 points.
• First round series: you choose MINN in 4 games, and MINN wins in 4. You also click clicked the 2x or nothing checkbox. You recieve 6 points.
• 2nd round series: you choose Oakland in 6 games, and Oakland wins in 5. You recieve (2 + (3-ABS(6-5)) 4 points.
